Induction Massage*

As a mother-to-be reaches her estimated due date, her needs during massage change. While reduced pain and discomfort, increased circulation, improved sleep, and reduced stress are benefits of induction massage*, the main goal is to prepare the body for impending birth. During an induction massage, a combination of massage, aromatherapy, and reflexology will be used to help the body during it's natural process of labor and birth.

*Disclaimer: Induction massage is not guaranteed to induce labor and should not be used in place of medical induction should the need arise. High risk mothers may not be able to receive induction massage without written clearance from their care provider. While induction massage can be successful, the main goal is to further prepare the mother's body for labor and birth. Mothers must be 38 weeks in order to receive this service. 

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

The Self Care Package

It is so easy to get caught up in the daily hustle and bustle of life! Regularly taking time for your mind and body to rest and recover can be the key to a healthy life! Whether your routine is to receive massage biweekly or monthly, this package is a great way to invest in yourself. The Self Care Package includes six 60 minute sessions (Swedish, Deep Tissue, or customizable). Massages may be redeemed at any time within the life of the package so you can book at times that fit your busy schedule.** 

The Self Care Package is $350 (a $420 value)

The Mama Earth Package

At Mama Earth, we believe that regular prenatal massage is incredibly beneficial to expecting mothers. Prenatal massage has shown to reduce pregnancy related pain and discomfort, reduce swelling, increase circulation, reduce stress, improve sleep, and help to prepare the body for birth. The Mama Earth Package includes six 60 minute prenatal massage sessions (we recommend one a month during the second and third trimesters), one 90 minute "induction massage"*, and one 60 minute postpartum massage.** This also makes a wonderful gift for the mothers to be in your life!***

The Mama Earth Package is $550 (a $630 value)

** Mama Earth packages may be rolled over to standard sessions if special circumstances arise (For example, if the mother becomes high risk during pregnancy or if baby is born prematurely). In this case, the remaining balance of the package will be treated like a gift card.**
